PRIME COLOR

Featuring the artwork of Ryszard Milek, James Doran and Juan Madry
Opening April 30, 2005 7 to 10pm
Show runs through May 22nd

On April 30, 2005 in New London, Connecticut, the Hygienic Art Galleries will hold on opening reception from 7:00 to 10:00pm for Prime Color. The Exhibit will feature the art of Ryszard Milek, Juan Marcel Madry, and James Doran. Ryszard Milek is a nationally and internationally recognized specialist among pastelists. Working primarily in the oil pastel technique, his abstract landscapes or architecture, still life, and portraits are filled with color and unconventional composition. Milek says that he is drawn to the nocturnal and to reflections. A genius of diversity and dexterity, Ryszard will be arriving from Poland to attend the opening reception. Juan Marcel Madry's love of the female form resonates in his passionate oil paintings.

Juan has a studio in his hometown of New London where he paints "voraciously". Juan displayed his colorful paintings in his New London restaurant, Don Juan's Combat Cuisine, expressing himself artistically while serving up great meals to local jazz lovers. James Doran is another native New London artist. With no formal training in art he began painting because he knew he had something inside himself that needed to be expressed. Having found his voice as a painter he evokes the emotions of the viewer.

Join us at the Hygienic Art Galleries for "Prime Color" and be immersed in vibrant color!
