Jack Montmeat is a traditional realist painter
focusing on still lifes and portraits. A native of Old
Lyme, he has lived at the Hygienic for a year.
He trained at the Lyme Academy of Fine Arts, Studio
Art Centers International in Florence, American
University of Paris, and earned a B.F.A. from Columbus
College of Art & Design in Columbus, Ohio.
He has pieces in numerous private collections and most
recently was included in a group show at the
Salmagundi Club in New York City.
Jack accepts commissions for portraits. Sittings take place at his studio at the Hygienic Art building in New London, Connecticut.
